Long time vegetarian (since he was 5) and animal lover, Danel launched \u00ab\u00a0Guitar Players for Animal Rights\u00a0\u00bb to the benefit of the association PETA, and was joined by fellow guitarists Brian May (of Queen) again, Steve Lukather (of Toto), Hank Marvin (of The Shadows) as well as the support of Paul McCartney and the participation of French stars such as singer and composer\/producer for C\u00e9line Dion Jean-Jacques Goldman or French movie star Jean-Paul Belmondo. He gave the royalties of \u00ab\u00a0Guitar Safari\u00a0\u00bb to an association helping refugies of the war in Ukraine.
